  24. Kumaran says:

We must inclucate sanathana dharma values to the next generation. The children must learn hindu way of life. There should be prabhashanams at all the temples whether it is in village, town or city. Irrespective of the number of participants, there should be “Bhodhavalkaranam”. Gradually, the number will increase. Ladies in the village should come together once a week and jointly read Vishnu Sahasranama Sthothram or Lalitha Sahasranama Sthothram. This will help the community.

  25. Kumaran says:

If someone can give the lyrics of Vishnu Sahasranama Sthothram and Lalitha Sahasranama Sthothram in English. The people who cannot read malayalam can take print out and chant the same.

  30. Raveendran says:

Reading a religious book, or listening to a spiritual discourse once, will not make a great difference in people’s life. What the Hindus require is weekly sermons in temples. And for that purpose, you must write to the temple authorities of your local temple. A paid Guru should be appointed at each temple.

    1. pkg says:

Hindu should study the spiritual knowledge from great gurus and also from the great scriptures of ancient India. He should take responsibility to appoint or arrange paid sanskrit teachers for all temples and make our children learn the golden truth of vedas.Hindus now dump in front of other religious group to answer the questions they arise just because of the ignorance about the our vedas and upanishads.I’m trying to manifest these ideas within my locality with a limited income.Let the divine truth help me to attain this in near future. I will live for the humanity to show the ‘Bharat Darsans’ is the only impartail proclamation of truth.
      My ideas are.
1.Knowledge about vedas and upanishad is the only solution to become hindu unity and world unity as well.
2.Sanskrit study is good enough for society to move ahead and withstand against bribery , alchohol consumption, atrocity against women, suicidel attempt, dirty cast system and all type of family distructions.
3.Temples ‘utsavas’ should be in the manner as the word meant and at least ten people should be honoured with finace in each temple to upgrade the standard of living in our society instead of making the ‘utsavas’ as a market place.
4.Award should be given to children who recite ‘bhagavat gita’ or making lectures in utsava season in order to make competion in studying sanskrit.
5.Discourage those who have been appraoching gurus for making financial benifit or curing their problems, but encourage them to appraoch gurus for leaning something about Bhagavat Gita or spiritual sciptures.
6.Neglet the super gurus who declare themselves as personal gods.(Great scriptures gives strength but man-god cannot)
7.Teach the lay men to avoid the ‘friday personal-god and godess’ who making various type of problems to the society mind indirectly. But teach them to use that time for family prayer or social prayer with their neghbours.
8.Encourage all families to arrange social prayer in each home at the end of every week not for persoanl god but for the grama deavathas.(This will give great change in the attitude of society and will promote helping metality among people)
9.Make aware of avoiding brutality of killing (sacrifice) animals and birds in the name of Gd.
10.Arrange lectures on hinduism and training for ‘suryanamaskar’ once in every year to all people to make them social friendly and to avoid alchoholism.

  31. bhattathiri says:

    Excellent website.
The Bhagavad Gita contains the essential ideas and
governing principles of our cultural life and deal with man’s search
for eternal which is the source of truth and joy. Body, life and mind
are not to be despised they are the instruments of the life of spirit
in man. There is a responsibility laid on man as an individual to
integrate his life to relate the present to the past and the future,
to live in time as well as among the eternal energies. The man of
spirit, those filled with serenity, wisdom and joy are lovers of
humanity. Arise awake and approach the worthy ones and learn to
realize the truth. Narrow is the path and difficult to tread, sharp
the edge of a razor. But success sure to those dare and do.

Indian Vedic contribution is a reservoir of Vibrant Information and
Harmonious Creativity. May the womb of nature embrace all with
tranquil blessings from this day forward. Let this attract one’s
attention affecting them positively. It is a Sanctuary of the Self a
Creative Venue which serves as an Enduring Expression of Lightness,
where a peaceful Atmosphere with Sunlight Flows and serene atmosphere

  32. Ravi says:

An average Hindu would spend Rs 500 on A portrait of “Geethopadesham”, but would not buy a Gita for Rs 100. Among those who buy the Gita, most people would keep it safe in the pooja room, rather than try to read it.That’s the secret of the ignorance of the people.
The one and only remedy for this is TO START WEEKLY SERMONS IN TEMPLES, which is a difficult task. And since it is the only one remedy this is the shortest and easiest.
Now the question is, ” WHO WILL BELL THE CAT?”.

    1. Unni says:

      Raviji ,

you are absolutely right . In this “Digital Yuga” Sreyas is doing a lot by sharing Gita sermons by Nochur JI , Sandeepananda Giri & Udit Chaitanya Ji . A 1000 thanks to SREYAS for that .Each and every home should be able to access it . Those who have internet could copy these mp3s and share it with those who do not have internet connection. The cheapest mobile phone available today can play Mp3s and can be used as a source to reach fellow hindus .

Per Upanishads , Father should be a guru to their own children and transfer whatever knowledge he attains [ Upanishad/Vedas ] to them. Once this “Guru Sishya” parampara is followed sincerely from each and every hindu home , that would bring an enormous change .Again the villain here is TV & M Channels …….

  37. The American justice Dept. have recently approved the power of yoga and meditation vide a recent judgement in the American court.” Man Who Slapped Wife Sentenced to Yoga, It’s Anger Management, Says Judge.” First there was house arrest. Now there’s yoga. A judge ordered a man convicted of slapping his wife to take a yoga class as part of his one-year probation. “It’s part of anger management,” County Criminal Court at Law Judge Larry Standley said of the ancient Hindu philosophy of exercise and well-being. “For people who are into it, it really calms them down. ” Standley, a former prosecutor, said the case of James Lee Cross was unique. Cross, a 53-year-old car salesman from Tomball, explained that his wife was struggling with a substance abuse problem and that he struck her on New Year’s Eve during an argument about her drinking. “He was trying to get a hold of her because she has a problem,” Standley said after the court hearing. “I thought this would help him realize that he only has control over himself.” The sentence came as a surprise to Cross, who was told to enroll in a class and report back to Standley on his progress. “I’m not very familiar with it,” Cross said of yoga. “From what I understand, it may help in a couple ways, not only as far as mentally settling, but maybe a little weight loss.” Darla Magee, an instructor at Yoga Body Houston in River Oaks, said she would recommend that Cross take a basic yoga class emphasizing breathing and including a variety of postures — forward bends, back bends and twists. “Yoga can help us to get rid of many emotional issues we might have,” she said. “It’s a spiritual cleanse.” Prosecutor Lincoln Goodwin agreed to a sentence of probation without jail time because Cross had no significant criminal history http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/metropolitan/2365341.
